Position Summary


2nd Shift

Monday - Thursday, 10 hours, 3:00 pm to 1:00 am

We are seeking dependable Production Employees to join our manufacturing team. This role offers hands-on training, a strong safety culture, and opportunities for career advancement. Employees who demonstrate strong performance may apply for internal training programs after 90 days of employment.


This position will report directly to the Production Supervisor and will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating machines to ensure the highest quality labels are sent to customers.


Pay and Benefits 


Pay: $17.45 - $20.00

Essential Functions

  • Effectively perform machine operations – converting post-press product into finished product by following job ticket instructions.
  • Responsible for ensuring that machines are operating efficiently while producing product that conforms to quality standards.
  • Accurately setup machines to cut and rewind to specific customer requirements.
  • Perform and document quality checks to ensure compliance with company standards and customer specifications.
  • Retrieve cores, boxes, and other supplies and materials for the machine and daily operation.
  • Inspect equipment for defects and perform maintenance duties as necessary.
  • Ability to read and understand written instructions and job tickets, as well as comprehend verbal instructions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Safely and efficiently perform all essential job functions in accordance with company policies and operating procedures.
  • Participate in department meetings, training, and continuous improvement events.

Requirements

  Job Requirements (knowledge, skill and/or ability required)

  • Basic math skills and understanding of metric and standard measurements/ conversions.
  • Detail-oriented and capable of following standard work instructions.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adopt new technologies in a fast-paced environment.
  • Operate safely and efficiently while producing high quality work.
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively with a team.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Must be able to perform well under deadline constraints and meet quality standards.
  • Must be detail oriented and have excellent, quality driven work habits.
  • Willingness to work overtime, rotating shifts, and if needed, holidays and weekends.

  • Work Authorization/Security Clearance
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without restriction.
  • HS Diploma or GED required.
  • Must be able to pass drug screen and background check.

Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions

  • Incumbent regularly required to carry and lift up to 20 lbs unassisted.
  • Incumbent occasionally required to carry and lift up to 50 lbs. 
  • Must be able to stand for the majority of shift – 2 hour increments.
  • Short distance walking required with rolls to be placed on shipping table.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, grasp and reach frequently.
  • Must be able to differentiate between color variance.
  • Frequent exposure to manufacturing environment with one or more unpleasant or hazardous conditions including but not limited to exposure to dust, dirt, high noise levels, chemicals, etc. 21% to 50% of work time.  
  • Incumbent constantly required to walk, stand, grasp, reach, push/pull, bend, stoop, twisting and use of manual dexterity for prolonged periods of time.  
  • Incumbent regularly required to hear, speak, and use color vision.
