Vanguard Truck Centers is a Successful Company that is Growing and Profitable!     Employee Benefits Front line manager for employees to aid in benefit enrollment, questions, knowledge and guidance surrounding available benefits. Complete FMLA/STD/LTD paperwork and submits to appropriate agency.   Recruiting Recruit for open positions within the region. Utilize Hireology to post jobs, review candidates, set up interviews, assign background/drug screen and initiate offer letter.   Onboarding   Initiate PAAs for new hires. Assist employees with electronic onboarding process. Complete IT Checklist for system setup, order business cards/shirts if applicable. Employee orientation. Conduct 30-day New Hire check-in to ensure effective onboarding process. Compliance Maintain up-to-date information on the various work-related issues such as ADA, FMLA, OSHA, FLSA etc. Ensure all posters and applications are compliant as dictated by state and federal law. Routinely perform Compliance Audits as directed by Corporate. Ensure employee policies and procedures are being adhered to.   Safety   Ensure accident reports are completed and submitted in a timely manner. Ensure OSHA logs are posted in February and submitted as necessary and State Workers’ Compensation Official Notices are posted each year. All Safety documentation and records developed as a result of safety training, meetings, accident investigations and hazard reports are filed and kept according to the Health and Safety Plan. Participate in Quarterly Safety Committee meetings. Work with Safety Leads on Safety Program compliance.     Employee Compensation   Communicate to managers (current and new) the importance of getting correct and complete timesheets, hours, termination notices (PAAs) to HR in a timely manner, to reduce errors in payroll and ensure it meets the deadlines. Work closely with the Payroll Manager to keep payroll records up to date with current salaries and make sure payroll amounts are accurate. Monitor and approve all PTO requests and balances. Execute merit increase process locally.   Training Collaborate with Corporate to identify training opportunities. Consistently follow up on results of training initiatives and report to Corporate.   Employee Engagement   Track Top 3 Focus Areas from the Job Satisfaction Survey and summarize to Department Leaders in the Region. Support Corporate Employee Engagement initiatives. Assist the GM and Branch Managers in planning and conducting either Town Halls, Department Manager Meetings or employee appreciation luncheons, tracking participation via the Employee Engagement Tracker. Performance Management Participate in high priority performance reviews as needed. Archive all performance reviews & ensure sufficient documentation for involuntary terminations Employee Relations Assist with all local HR complaints/problems, keeping Corporate HR informed of any potential exposure to lawsuit/EEOC charge. Administrative Complete exit interviews File W/C claims & general insurance claims and report progress to Corporate HR Track and order office supplies. Process Employment Verifications. Notarize documents such as MCO’s, titles, Power of Attorneys, etc. Point of contact for Cleaning/Janitorial staff. Organize and prepare office for Leadership meetings, Training, Conferences etc. Support for Managers as needed.
