We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. The CNC (Computer Numerical Control) Operator will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines to produce high-quality parts according to blueprints, specifications, and safety standards. This position requires a strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work effectively within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
CNC Machine Operation: Operate CNC milling machines, lathes, or other CNC equipment to produce precision parts and components.
Machine Setup: Set up CNC machines by loading program codes, tooling, and fixtures, ensuring proper calibration and alignment.
Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine the proper setup, tooling, and machining operations required.
Quality Control: Inspect finished parts using various measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, etc.) to ensure compliance with specifications. Make adjustments to programs as necessary.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn tools. Troubleshoot minor machine issues to ensure continuous operation.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety procedures, wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain a safe work environment.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of machine setups, production runs, maintenance activities, and any issues or deviations from standard procedures.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with other operators, engineers, and supervisors to ensure production goals are met efficiently and with high quality.
Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the improvement of processes, machine setups, and efficiency to help reduce waste and increase productivity.
Skills & Qualifications:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent; technical certification or training in CNC operations is a plus.
Experience: Minimum of [X] years of experience operating CNC machines. Experience with [specific CNC machinery or software] is preferred.
Technical Skills: Strong understanding of CNC machine operation, G-code programming, and machine tooling.
