SUMMARY: The primary responsibility of this position is to assist in the management of all Table Games department operations and oversee the integrity and compliance of all table games. 


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Ensures compliance with State and NIGA regulations and Minimal Internal Control Standards.
  2. Ensures that blackjack department staff provides exceptional guest services to assist in guest relations, profitability of the Table Games department and the overall profitability of the Lake of the Torches Resort Casino.
  3. Assists in the monitoring of internal operations including daily operations, scheduling and management of policies and procedures.
  4. Is responsible for scheduling dealer table rotations and other associate activities as appropriate.
  5. Directly supervises employees and observes up to six tables in Table Games pit.
  6. Is responsible for controlling all aspects of Table Games to address guest first initiatives, compliance and maximizing revenue generation.
  7. Is responsible for supervising the opening and closing of tables and the reconciliation and tracking of shoes and cards. This includes spontaneous decisions related to the opening and closing of tables, adjustments to table limit amounts and the continuation and termination of guest playing privileges as appropriate.
  8. Is responsible for the verification of opening and closing activities and the completion of daily reports.
  9. Works closely with the Table Games Manager to analyze table performance and implements enhancements to maximize revenues.
  10. Is responsible for working independently and with the Table Games Manager and other management staff to assist in the cultivation of player development and assists in building methodologies and approaches to increase, enhance and retain positive relations with guests and players.
  11. Directs Table Games staff in maintaining appearance and cleanliness of tables and table games area. 
  12. Manages and maintains inventory control with appropriate Table Games staff to ensure that supplies are in stock. 
  13. May assist the Table Games Manager in dealer training activities.
  14. Responsible for recommending and maintaining Table Games department objectives, standards and policies and procedures for review by the Table Games Manager.
  15. Resolves associate interdepartmental or guest disputes in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  16. Performs other duties as assigned.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for the direct supervision of all Table Games Dealers 

 

POSITION RELATIONSHIPS:

Internal: Frequent contact with associates at all levels within all departments of the organization

External: Continual contact with guests and visitors. Infrequent contact with suppliers and gaming commission.

 

EDUCATION: A high school education or equivalent is required.

 

EXPERIENCE: A minimum of two years supervisory experience in a table games environment with an emphasis in a customer focused environment is required. A minimum of one year in dealing Table Games is required. 

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must possess excellent interpersonal, communication, delegation, problem solving, people and project management skills. Must be familiar with PC’s and related software and have a thorough knowledge of gaming operations, internal controls and state and federal gaming regulations. Must be able to manage and maintain confidential and sensitive information with diplomacy and tact. Must maintain a professional demeanor in stressful situations as necessary

 

LICENSE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to be licensed by the Lac du Flambeau Tribal Gaming Commission.


WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Work Conditions: The majority of position responsibilities are performed on the gaming floor with exposure to differentials in temperature.

Exposure to Hazards: May be exposed to situations where spills, wet floors, secondhand smoke or guest/employee behaviors may create undesirable conditions.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to walk, sit, stand, bend or lift for extended periods of time.

OTHER: Must be able to work irregular hours, weekends and holidays and be available for call in to work on short notice. Must attend all mandatory meetings and participate in departmental training and development sessions.
