About the Role:
The Great Greek in San Antonio, TX is looking for a passionate and skilled Line Cook to join our kitchen team! If you love crafting bold, authentic Mediterranean flavors in a fast-paced environment, this is the opportunity for you. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and execute menu items according to The Great Greek's recipes and quality standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation throughout each shift
- Operate grills, fryers, sauté stations, and other kitchen equipment safely and proficiently
- Monitor food freshness, portion control, and presentation consistency
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth, timely ticket execution during service
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health code regulations
- Assist with prep work, inventory, and restocking as needed
Requirements:
- Prior experience as a line cook, prep cook, or in a similar kitchen role preferred
- Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen environment
- Knowledge of food safety practices and ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Passion for food quality and attention to detail in plating and preparation
