Description/Summary

Under the general direction of the Quality Supervisor this position is responsible for performing visual and dimensional checks on purchased parts, components, and raw materials prior to putting materials to stock. Receiving Inspectors are also responsible for inspecting and testing new parts, reworked parts, component parts, and raw tubing for conformance to specifications such as dimensions and tolerances. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Reviews Certification Packages for accuracy and compliance.
  • Reads work orders and uses Inspection Methods Sheets (IMS) to determine appropriate Inspection Methods 
  • Accurately maintains database and spreadsheets
  • Reads complex drawings and specifications
  • Measures components and tubing using a variety of measurement tools
  • Fills out tags, documents, and prints labels
  • Scans Certification Packages to Company Document Control
  • Prints, copies, and scans documents as needed
  • Verifies Calibration of measurement tools used
  • Writes Non-Conforming Material Reports as necessary
  • Moves material to warehouse stock locations
  • Contacts suppliers via email when issues arise with Certification Packages
  • Prepares paperwork for Outside Processing
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. 
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.

  • Other duties may be assigned as needed

Requirements

Education, Certifications, Licenses, & Registrations
