Senior Corporate Counsel Responsibilities & Duties

  • Demonstrate leadership ability and a high level of project management skills.
  • Provide legal advice and support on a wide range of corporate issues, including, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, government terms and conditions (FAR/DFARS, etc.), cyber security, import and export regulations, etc.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate various types of contracts and agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Assist with corporate litigation and disputes/ working with outside counsel.
  • Work with company to protect intellectual property and assets.
  • Advise senior management on legal risks and strategies.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of company policies and procedures.
  • Provide training and guidance to other members of the legal team and company employees at all levels of the organization as needed.
  • Conduct legal research and stay updated on changes in laws and regulations applicable to the company.
  • Any other projects assigned by Head or Managing Counsel.

Senior Corporate Counsel Skills

Senior Corporate Counsel Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

  • At least 5 years’ relevant legal experience, with in-house corporate counsel experience strongly preferred.
  • Exposure to U.S. government contracting work and relating regulations (FAR/DFARS, etc.) also strongly preferred.
