Acadian Client Services has an immediate opening for a full-time Customer Service Representative to join their team in Lafayette, LA.

 

Job Location: Lafayette, LA - This position is based in the office, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm. This is NOT a remote position.

Summary of Duties: Responsible for daily call intake, processing and resolution on customer accounts. Additional supporting tasks are assigned for all private collection efforts to support the overall unit's role in supporting customers to final financial resolutions.

 

Essential Functions: 

  • Mission Critical Role to Handle inbound customer calls 8:00am-5:00pm CST Monday through Friday
  • Process payments over the phone/or obtaining third party insurance information
  • Ensures accuracy of demographic information
  • Resolve customer disputes
  • Ensure proper handling of all third party claims
  • Other duties and responsibilities, as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proficient in Google, MS Office Suite or related software 
  • Previous medical billing experience preferred
  • Problem solving abilities 
  • Excellent communication and customer relation skill
  • Familiarity with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) preferred
  • Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with coworkers and patients 
  • Professional work ethic and dress code
  • Ability to adhere to productivity goals, departmental and company guidelines, policy and procedures
  • Maintain highest level of confidentiality
  • Punctual with strong attendance history
