Director Nursing - Telemetry Care Unit 2

The Director Nursing 2 is responsible for 24-hour service provided on or by a department /patient care unit. Directs staff in all aspects of patient care including problem identification, planning implementation, and evaluation of all patient outcomes. No more than 20% of the time will be spent off the unit. The remaining 80% will be spent on the unit, engaged with the staff in the provision of patient care. Interviews, hires, counsels, and disciplines personnel. Oversees orientation of all staff assigned to these departments. Responsible for Service Excellence for patients, staff and physicians. Must possess good leadership skills to include critical thinking, communication, team building, and decision-making skills. Administers and supervises the services of a department/unit to render patient care as related to the patient. Holds self and staff accountable for the delivery of quality patient care.
