Responsibilities: Provide routine and non-routine care and education to patients, assisting Physician and Charge Nurse as needed; accurately document all care provided in patient chart Triage patient calls and responds to all requests within 24 hours, notify Physician of urgent matters and all test results Perform clinic duties in efficient manner to maintain smooth flow of clinic; prepare patient for examination, test(s) or procedure(s); conduct physician ordered procedures and referrals, schedule outside facility testing and procedures Work in conjunction with Authorization Specialists to ensure all procedures ordered and performed are pre-authorized for reimbursement Follow all safety guidelines, adheres to universal blood and body fluid precautions; ensure work & clinical areas are kept clean and neat Represent company in a positive manner; adhere to Standards of Behavior; foster positive patient service-oriented working environment & teamwork approach Respect and maintain patient privacy at all times Take direction for daily assignments from physician’s RN or Nursing Manager. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of accredited certified medical assistant or accredited nursing program.    Maintain valid Certification or Louisiana LPN license A minimum of 2 years’ experience in performing clinical activities in a medical environment.   Why Choose Us?
