Overview

Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Proficient in all duties associated with a Maintenance Tech II position.

  • Provide positive and strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring to the maintenance department staff, monitoring performance and results

  • Manage and ensure effective employee/labor relations, create an ethical, non-discriminatory and safe work environment.

  • Responsible for repair & maintenance of facility, grounds and equipment.

  • Manage and ensure effective employee/labor relations.

  • Perform effective collaboration with other TCH departments.

  • Oversee the CMMS, prioritize/assign work order request, ensuring receive proper documentation, and are completed in a timely manner.

  • Supervise performance and efficiency of the maintenance department based on maintenance and repair work orders, including minor and new construction, special projects, landscape maintenance needs.

  • Identify the need for, and oversee replacement of existing, or installation of additional equipment

  • Possess knowledge of safety and fire regulations designed to protect TCH staff, clients & visitors. May be called upon to conduct safety, fire meetings

  • Review and approve invoicing received from contractor, vendor or service providers in compliance with local tax and legal requirements

  • Assist with developing business relationships to ensure communication and efficient operations with third party vendors, including but not limited to, pest services, external contractors, or facility maintenance materials and supplies.

Desired experience includes, but not limited to:

  • Associate’s degree from two-year college / technical school preferred, or equivalent combination of education & experience.

  • Must have overall appreciation and understanding of the TCH facility’s, the operations, and how the maintenance department should support other departments.

  • Prior experience in supervisory role performing & scheduling maintenance preferred

  • Some tasks will require the ability to walk extensively throughout facilities during a workday

  • Requires the ability to climb extension ladders, roof ladder, stepladders, and stairs as needed during a workday

  • Requires the flexibility to bend/stoop, squat, kneel, reach/stretch, and move in a 90-degree fashion during workday.

  • Effective verbal and written communication
