Job DetailsJob Location: Lafayette, LA 70503Position Type: Full TimeJob Purpose: - The Health Safety Environmental Representative at On Site Medical & Safety Services is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of all personnel involved in offshore oil and gas operations. This role focuses on implementing and monitoring health, safety, and environmental policies to minimize risks and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with HSE policies and procedures. - Develop and implement safety training programs for offshore personnel to enhance awareness and adherence to safety protocols. - Investigate incidents and accidents, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence. - Collaborate with management to develop and enforce health, safety, and environmental policies. - Monitor and review HSE performance metrics and provide recommendations for improvement. - Ensure all safety equipment and systems are properly maintained and operational. - Liaise with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with legal and industry standards. - Provide expert advice and support on HSE matters to all levels of the organization. - Participate in emergency response planning and drills to ensure preparedness for potential incidents. QualificationsRequired Education: - Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field. Required Experience: - Minimum of 2 years of experience as an HSE Representative in the offshore Oil & Gas industry. - Proven track record of implementing safety protocols and environmental regulations in a similar setting. - Experience in conducting safety audits and risk assessments in offshore environments. Required Skills and Abilities: - Strong knowledge of federal and state safety regulations pertaining to the Oil & Gas industry. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with various stakeholders. - Ability to develop and deliver safety training programs to personnel. - Proficiency in using safety management software and tools. - Strong analytical skills to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team in high-pressure situations. - Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
