Position Summary:

Implements new processes, equipment, and procedures to obtain OEE, Process Capacity, and Regulatory goals/requirements.  Supports other engineers with utilizing Process Technicians to implement projects, experiments, and customer samples.  Works in coordination with technology, operations, quality, and engineering/maintenance teams.

 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  1. Implements new equipment installation, commissioning, and production start-up.  
  2. Develops and implements projects, activities, experiments, and statistical analyses for the achievement of process capability (all critical characteristics).
  3. Implements measurement systems, devices, and/or instruments to monitor and control a process.
  4. Works with Process Technicians to achieve process output requirements (i.e., OEE, Process Capability, and Regulatory).
  5. Compiles and writes training materials and conducts process training.
  6. Documents (safe operating procedures) for new/upgraded equipment and process modifications.
  7. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of equipment vendors’ changes, upgrades, and innovations through frequent contact with equipment manufacturers and related tooling suppliers.
  8. Performs other work-related duties as assigned.

 

Qualification Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in technical field or equivalent amount of previous relevant experience.  
  • This is an intermediate/career role with process and equipment design and installations experience.
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access, Outlook)
  • Demonstrates skills in a variety of manufacturing concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Ability to work with all levels of people in achievement of plant objectives.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and analytical skills.

 

Qualifications Desired:

  • Six-Sigma Green Belt preferred
  • Magnet wire experience with equipment design and installation focus
  • IATF 16949 experience
  • Environmental, health and safety knowledge
