Service Advisor Apprentice (Customer Experience Focus)

Sterling Hyundai in Lafayette, LA is looking for motivated, customer-focused individuals to join our Service Team!

As a Service Advisor Apprentice, you’ll play a key role in the day-to-day communication flow of our Service Department. This position is heavily focused on answering incoming calls, scheduling service appointments, and keeping customers informed throughout the service process.

You’ll serve as a first point of contact for many of our customers while also supporting Service Advisors and learning the skills needed to grow into a full Service Advisor role.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Handle a high volume of incoming calls for the Service Department
Schedule service appointments accurately and efficiently
Contact customers with updates on vehicle service status
Answer customer questions and provide clear, professional communication
Support Service Advisors by relaying messages and coordinating information between customers and technicians
Assist customers in person as needed, ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience
Move vehicles on and off the premises as needed
Perform vehicle walk-arounds, including alignment check process
Provide shuttle rides for customers when required
Maintain a professional appearance and represent Sterling Automotive Group with integrity and courtesy

Coachable and eager to learn and grow into a Service Advisor role
Team player who can support multiple priorities at once
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
Must be at least 21 years old or have 3 full years of driving experience (insurance requirement)
Willingness to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screen
High school diploma or equivalent required

Schedule: Full-time Monday-Friday
Starting Pay: $15/hr
