Who we are: Â
Â
EOI Space specializes in developing and deploying a network of satellites in Very Low Earth Orbit (VLEO) to provide ultra-high-resolution Earth imagery.  We aim to deliver timely and actionable data for commercial and defense applications. Â
Â
We are on our way to achieving many industry firsts. This demands an ambitious team that revels in leaning into challenges, getting hands-on, and working together.  Does this sound like you?  EOI Space is looking for a Spacecraft Systems Engineer with strong technical expertise and a demonstrated background in spacecraft or subsystem development to help drive the design, integration, and testing of EOI’s satellites.Â

What you will do: Â
Â
The Spacecraft Systems Engineer will support the development and verification of the spacecraft system architecture, with particular emphasis on cross-subsystem integration performance.  This role involves technical execution across design, modeling and simulation, integration, and test phases, working closely with subsystem leads, test engineers, and program management to ensure cohesive spacecraft development.Â
Â
Responsibilities: Â
Â
- Support definition and evolution of the spacecraft system architecture, including subsystem interfaces, performance budgets, and trade studiesÂ
- Develop and maintain system-level requirements, allocations, and verification planning across the satellite lifecycleÂ
- Perform and document system-level analyses (e.g., power, thermal, link, mass, data)Â
- Support coordination between subsystem leads, program management, and manufacturing teams to ensure technical alignment and system integrityÂ
- Develop and contribute to Interface Control Documents (ICDs), CONOPS, and other system-level documentationÂ
- Develop and execute mission analysis and simulation tools, such as day-in-the-life simulationsÂ
- Assist with system integration and environmental testing activities, including test plan creation, procedure development, and test executionÂ
- Participate in mission assurance and launch integration effortsÂ
- Identify technical risks and contribute to mitigation planningÂ
- Provide hands-on support during integration and troubleshooting of spacecraft hardware and softwareÂ
Â
Required Qualifications: Â
Â
- B.S. or M.S. in Electrical, Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or a related fieldÂ
- 3+ years of relevant engineering experience, including spacecraft or subsystem developmentÂ
- Expertise in at least one spacecraft subsystem (e.g., power, ADCS, thermal, propulsion, communications) and familiarity with system-level integrationÂ
- Experience with modeling and analysis tools such as Python, STK, or MATLABÂ
- Experience with Excel for engineering problem solvingÂ
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a collaborative approach to technical challengesÂ
- Experience with spacecraft development, integration, and testing processesÂ
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively across teamsÂ
- Startup or small-team experience is preferredÂ
