EOI Space is looking for a Spacecraft Technician to drive manufacturing of EOI spacecraft and components. This person will work with the lead technician to fabricate harnesses and integrate the spacecraft and its components in alignment with EOI’s mission objectives.
What you will do:
The Spacecraft Technician is responsible for assembling various mechanical and electronic subsystems, culminating in spacecraft assembly, while following established build documentation and raising awareness for any issues with either documentation or hardware.
This role requires an individual with a strong technical background and a willingness to learn. Additionally, the person in this role should have strong interpersonal skills in coordinating with people, both internally and externally (e.g., fabrication vendors, test houses, etc.).
Responsibilities:
- Execute on spacecraft manufacturing and integration
- Integrate and deploy GSE hardware as needed to facilitate the build the spacecraft or associated components & subsystems
- Follow AI&T procedures, documentation standards, and data handling policies across the organization
- Maintain compliance with aerospace industry standards and internal quality requirements
- Take ownership of HIL and Flatsat configurations
- Maintain lab organization and cleanliness
- Work from engineering drawings and various technical documents
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of professional experience, with 1+ of those years focused on spacecraft/satellite applications
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities. This includes written communication as well as face-to-face interactions
- Proven organizational skills and the ability to maintain multiple projects simultaneously
- Familiarity with best practices regarding aerospace, electrical, mechanical, structural assembly
- Familiarity with a variety of test equipment including oscilloscopes, DMMs, HiPot, torque tools, etc.
- An on-site test of skills may be part of the interview process
Compensation:
The anticipated compensation for this position is $30.00 - $55.00 per hour, depending on previous experience. Pay ranges are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual pay will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: interviews and an assessment of several factors that are unique to each candidate, job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and internal equity.
Work Location:
This onsite role will be located in Lafayette, CO with possible travel to Seattle, WA (<5%).
