This position and the posting will stay open continuously in order to build a pool of qualified candidates for future openings as Adjunct Instructors. Applicants will not be notified unless there is an actual need to fill the position or if the candidate does not meet minimum requirements.
PROGRAM OPERATION: Performs all instructional duties necessary to teach and facilitate student learning in assigned classes. Provides syllabus appropriate to course(s) being taught to students and follows syllabus content and requirements. Maintains student attendance and grading records according to College policy as outlined in the Adjunct Handbook. Submits requested information within established timelines. STUDENTS: Is available to students outside scheduled class time to answer questions and/or provide assistance. Deal with student concerns and, if necessary, consult with program coordinator to resolve issues. INSTRUCTION: Meets all scheduled classes of contracted course(s). Use technology such as Canvas, PowerPoint, etc. as appropriate. In the event of an emergency absence, notifies program/department chair.
Must have strong working knowledge of current technologies appropriate to the area of instruction and faculty credentials as outlined in the ASOM 7.1 as applicable to the specific area of instruction.
A qualified faculty member in Agriculture meets the聽School of Advanced Manufacturing, Engineering & Applied Science聽criteria:
路聽Possesses an earned baccalaureate or higher degree, from a regionally accredited institution, in the fields of Agricultural and Biological Engineering, Agriculture Education, Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Systems Management, Agronomy, Animal Science, Botany, Horticulture, or Plant Science; or
路聽Possesses a current Workplace Specialist License granted by the Indiana Department of Education appropriate to course objectives and directly linked to credentials, certifications, and competencies listed in the Course Outline of Record (COR), or
路聽Possesses an earned associate or higher degree, from a regionally accredited institution聽directly related聽to the program鈥檚聽discipline and聽has two years of聽directly related聽work experience.
