As a Specialty Pharmacy Technician, you’ll be responsible for interpreting and entering prescription data in our pharmacy system, answering incoming calls, and completing outbound calls to / from patients, physicians and pharmacists while ensuring a high level of customer service and maximized productivity.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

  • Verify appropriate and accurate patient information

  • Enter prescription data into pharmacy system

  • Fills medication requests and completes required documentation

  • Contact patients, pharmacists, and providers to resolve issues

  • Ensure inventory stock levels of drug items, ancillary supplies, and compounding supplies are maintained at appropriate levels.

  • Other assignments and projects as needed

  • Maintain proficiency and quality as standardized by the department


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Required High School Diploma/GED

  • Required 1 year Pharmacy

  • 3 years Retail Pharmacy Preferred

  • 1 year Outpatient Hospital Pharamcy Preferred

  • 1 year Epic Willow Ambulatory Preferred

  • Required Pharmacy Tech, State Cert (PHT) - State Licensing Board

  • Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) Certification - Pharmacy Technician Certification Board

  • Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT) - National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
