Responsibilities Sweep, mop, vacuum, and spot-clean floors and carpets Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and floors Empty trash containers and replace liners Refill restroom and cleaning supplies as needed Dust furniture, windowsills, ledges, and common surfaces Clean glass doors, windows, and partition glass Clean and sanitize break rooms, kitchens, drinking fountains, and common areas Maintain janitorial closets and cleaning equipment Secure buildings by ensuring doors are locked and lights are turned off after cleaning Areas Serviced Offices and administrative areas Lobbies and common areas Break rooms and kitchens Restrooms Hallways, stairways, and classrooms Conference rooms, computer labs, and mailrooms Qualifications Reliable with strong attention to detail Ability to work independently Ability to perform routine cleaning duties, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting Previous custodial or janitorial experience is preferred but not required Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and twisting Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation Ability to operate standard custodial equipment such as vacuums, mops, brooms, and floor care equipment Ability to work safely with cleaning chemicals and supplies Ability to climb stairs and work in various areas throughout the campus Ability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks during the scheduled shift Must be able to work independently and maintain consistent attendance Additional Information Background check required prior to employment.
