Job Description Summary:
This is a full-scope midwifery position with the OBGYN Lancaster office and Pickerington Methodist Hospital. The position involves seeing patients in the OBGYN Lancaster and Canal Winchester offices and a laborist role at Pickerington Methodist Hospital.Responsibilities And Duties:
100% -Uncomplicated prenatal care within the scope of the Nurse Midwife e -Intrapartum Care on patients who meet the criteria for normal delivery no forceps or vacuum us e . -Pitocin augmentation or induction under the direction and approval of the supervising physician or alternate. -Use of internal and external monitors. -AROM Active Rupture of Membrane s without consultation only if patient is in active labor, 3 cm, - 1 station, and at least80%
effaced. -Local analgesia/anesthesia including pudenda l . -Must consult physician when deviations from normal rise. -Normal postpartum care. -Normal newborn care in the delivery room and/or recovery room only. -Repair of superficial vaginal and perineal lacerations-Complies with all policies and procedures of OB/GYN department and all rules and policies of hospital in Labor and Delivery Nurse Midwifes. -Documents according to L&D policy in progress notes and L&D record.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's Degree: Nursing (Required)C-EFM - Certified - Electronic Fetal Monitoring - National Certification Corporation (NCC), CNM - Certified Nurse Midwife - American Midwifery Certification Board©, RN - Registered Nurse - Ohio Board of NursingAdditional Job Description:
