Job Description

As a Security Officer Hospital Access Control in Laguna Hills, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism and care. You will provide welcoming customer service and clear communication while contributing to a caring, reliable team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Position Type: Full Time / Day Shift 

Pay Rate: $23.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, medical-related emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facilities, parking areas, building perimeters, and surrounding grounds to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, hazards, and facility concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate activity and incident reports and maintain professional communication with staff, visitors, and responding agencies.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfortability using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
