Overview
The Luau Greeter is responsible for creating a memorable first impression to our luau guests. This position facilitates a great experience by promptly greeting and seating guests, while providing an orientation to the luau grounds and the evening’s events.

Responsibilities
These duties include but are not limited to the following:
Â
Must be available for flexible scheduling to meet the needs of the Luau operations including evenings, weekends and holidays. This is a 4 hour evening shift.
Â
- Greet and check-in guests while making a memorable first impression.
- Ensure positive guest services in all areas. Respond to complaints, taking all appropriate actions to turn dissatisfied guest into return guests.
- Prepare tickets and reserve signs for check-in.
- Support Luau Cashiers during guest check-in by managing guest lists, wristbands and hand stamps.
- Be alert and ready to support emergency procedures or special accommodations as needed.
- Recognize and organize agent receipts.
- Assist special needs guests
- Assist parties of 10 or more.
- Inform guests of grounds, facilities and amenities.
- Escort Guests to their seats.
- Must work closely with the F&B Luau Manager, and all Luau staff.
- Must attend all pre-shift and post shift meetings.
- Must perform all assigned pre-shift and post shift duties.
- Responsible to report any problems or issues to the Luau Manager that requires his/her attention as they arise.
- Ensure a safe working and guest environment to reduce the risk of injury and accidents.Â
- Must ensure compliance with all local and liquor laws and health and sanitation regulations.
- Must be in compliance with the Hotel rules and regulations.
- Must attend and participate in all department and company required meetings/training.
- Ensure good employee morale and a productive work environment.
- Must provide excellent guest experience for overall guest satisfaction.
- Must perform other duties as directed by supervisor/management.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:Â
- Previous guest experience required.
Physical requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk frequently for extend periods of time.
- Frequent repetitive hand, wrist, and body motions.
- Occasionally Light to Medium work – Lifting up to 20 to 50 pounds of equipment occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
- Ability to work in Hot/Cold temperatures.
 Essential Job Requirements:

- Previous host experience, preferably in relation to large-scale events.
- Must possess good communication skills for dealing with diverse staff.
- Ability to read, write, and speak in the English language.
- Neat and professional appearance, a genuine Spirit of Aloha and desire to work with the public.
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and engage in considerable physical activity on a consistent basis.
- Must be able to work in conjunction with the Luau Stage Manager, F&B Luau Managers, and Luau staff.
- Must be able to interact with fellow co-workers, manager/supervisors, guests and others with respect and honesty.
- Must be able to work cohesively with fellow co-workers and managers/supervisors as part of a team.
- Must attend all scheduled training, and hotel required meetings.
- Must have a positive attitude.
- Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all levels of management, employees, guest and others in an attentive friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.
- Must be able to approach all encounters with management, employees, guest and others in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.
