POSITION SUMMARY

Ā 

The Manufacturing EngineerĀ position supportsĀ theĀ manufacturingĀ ofĀ adhesive andĀ abrasiveĀ coatingĀ operationsĀ at Jessup ManufacturingĀ Company.Ā This is achieved by optimizing cost-effectiveĀ manufacturingĀ processesĀ andĀ methods in accordance withĀ product specifications andĀ quality standards,Ā recommending.

and implementing improvements to productionĀ processes, methods,Ā andĀ controls; coordinatingĀ manufacturing launch for newĀ or revisedĀ productsĀ and equipment; Leads the specification, vendor qualificationĀ and implementation of new equipmentĀ andĀ processes. The effectivenessĀ ofĀ this positionĀ willĀ beĀ measured by the performance improvement fromĀ the baseline cost,Ā efficiencyĀ orĀ utilization ofĀ the project completed.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Improves new and existing manufacturing processes for cost reduction, quality, or efficiency. This is achieved by, planning workflow, applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, equipment,

layout and materials; soliciting input from operators, equipment suppliers and industry experts.

Ā 

• Coordinates between production teams the manufacturing launch of new/revised processes and equipment including project management, establishing goals, monitoring effectiveness.

• Completes design and development projects by documenting ISO compliant work instructions, training, and guiding technicians.

• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal

networks; participating inĀ professional societies.

• Performs other duties as assigned by department supervisor

• Maintain technical data logs relating to manufacturing processes

• Leverages engineering techniques aid in trouble shooting product quality for Ā  Ā  Ā trail and non-trail products.Ā

EDUCATIONĀ & EXPERIENCE

Ā 

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent

• 5+ years’ Engineering experience in product manufacturing environment

• Proficient in the implementation of LEAN and Kaizen principles

• Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills

• History of progressive responsibility

• Proficient with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office programs

• Experience with CAD programs a plus
