Job Summary:

The Clinical Coordinator for Dialysis will oversee the delivery of dialysis care within the correctional facility, ensuring compliance with clinical standards and facility protocols. The coordinator acts as the primary liaison between the medical team, dialysis providers, and correctional staff, with a focus on patient safety, quality of care, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and supervise all aspects of dialysis treatment for incarcerated patients.
  • Collaborate with nephrologists, nursing staff, and correctional healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Develop, implement, and review protocols to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and treatment outcomes.
  • Provide staff training and ongoing education on dialysis procedures and infection control.
  • Serve as a resource for clinical questions and troubleshooting dialysis-related issues.
  • Ensure equipment maintenance and inventory of dialysis supplies.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities and incident investigations as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with correctional staff regarding patient movement and security protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Current RN license (or relevant clinical credential) in the state of Florida.
  • At least 2 years of experience in dialysis care; correctional healthcare experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
