The role of Pressure Relief Valve Technician I involves adhering to ValvKeep and Quality Standardization Procedures for all aspects of the valve repair process, recognizing contaminated valves using Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and identifying missing parts. Responsibilities include learning valve repair according to company standards, using BH Green Tag Channel Connect, and gaining introductory knowledge of various shop equipment such as test stands and machining tools. The position also requires readiness for manufacturer training to enhance skills and expertise.Â

- Follow ValvKeep and Quality Standardization Procedures for all aspects of the valve repair processÂ
- Familiar with Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and able to recognize a contaminated valveÂ
- Recognition of missing partsÂ
- Learn valve repair according to company standardsÂ
- Able to use BH Green Tag Channel ConnectÂ
- Introductory learning of various shop equipment (test stand, machining equipment, etc.)Â

Positional Requirements & Qualifications:Â
Education & ExperienceÂ
- HS Education or GED EquivalentÂ
- 1 year of industry experienceÂ
Skills & AbilitiesÂ
- Safety and quality-mindedÂ
- Recognize pressure relief valve componentsÂ
- Basic computer knowledgeÂ
- Organized and detail-orientedÂ
- Demonstrate effective time management skillsÂ
- Successful completion of Consolidated Valve University Levels 401-403Â
- Successful completion of all applicable Quality Standardization ProceduresÂ
- Completed Green Tag Certification Level IÂ
- Successful completion of Pressure Relief Valve Level I Written and Performance TestsÂ
- Some prior safety/pressure relief valve experienceÂ
- Demonstrated proficiency of disassembly, lapping, testing, applicable codes and standardsÂ
- Demonstrated mechanical skills, basic mathematical skills, and ability to use measurement equipmentÂ
- Basic OSHA and TWIC card (TWIC, only if required)Â
- Basic oral & written communication skillsÂ
- Ability to communicate professionally with customers as a representative of the companyÂ
- Demonstrated understanding of the field job processÂ
- Demonstrated “can do” attitude and excellent customer service skillsÂ
- Must be able to travel and have a clear driving record in accordance with company driving guidelinesÂ
