Job DetailsJob Location: Lake City, FL - Lake City, FL 32055First-McNess Company is hiring a full-time Production Supervisor (3rd Shift) for our Lake City, FL location.   5-Day workweek, Night shift, 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week (with available overtime as needed)    Starting Pay: Compensation will be determined by relevant experience and the interview process   Pay Type: Hourly rate with overtime pay, paid bi-weekly   Work Setting: Onsite, production/warehouse environment   Core Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9pm – 5am (with available overtime as needed)  Starting the week @ 9pm on Monday night.   Ending the week @ 5am on Saturday morning.  Work Location: 688 NW Waldo Street, Lake City, FL 32055   Benefit Package: We offer a comprehensive benefits program designed to promote health, financial security, and work‑life balance. See our benefits summary below.    POSITION SUMMARY:   The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading and supporting the daily activities of an assigned production shift. This role works closely with production employees to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality operations while meeting production schedules and customer requirements. The Production Supervisor serves as a frontline leader who promotes employee engagement, safety compliance, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.      KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:   Lead and support daily production activities to ensure safety, quality, and productivity goals are achieved   Supervise and provide direction to production employees during assigned shifts   Monitor production processes, product quality, and workflow to ensure operational standards are met   Train, coach, and develop employees on safe work practices, SOPs, and job responsibilities   Maintain a safe and organized work environment and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements   Communicate production priorities, schedule changes, and operational needs to employees and leadership   Assist with staffing, scheduling, onboarding, and employee performance discussions   Coordinate with maintenance, quality, warehouse, and other departments to resolve operational issues   Complete production records, reports, and required documentation accurately and timely   Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies   Perform production related tasks and provide hands-on support as needed   Performs other duties as assigned      QUALIFICATIONS:   High school diploma or equivalent required   2+ years of manufacturing, production, or operations experience preferred   Previous supervisory, team lead, or leadership experience preferred   Forklift certification preferred; willingness to obtain certification with company support   Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills   Ability to motivate employees and foster a positive team environment   Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality standards, and safety practices   Ability to prioritize work, troubleshoot issues, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment   Ability to read, write, and speak English and perform basic math calculations     Basic computer and data-entry skills   Willingness to work in an indoor warehouse environment with temperature fluctuations due to seasonal weather conditions   Ability to lift up to 70 lbs., work at heights, and perform physical tasks in an industrial environment       About Furst-McNess Company:    For more than a century, Furst-McNess Company has been a trusted leader in animal nutrition, delivering innovative feed, mineral, and management solutions to livestock producers across the United States.
