About the role
Responsible for providing timely and accurate underwriting offers, while adhering to pricing and profit objectives. Develops partnership with Sales to maximize ability to sell new/maintain existing business. Stays current with our Administrative, Enrollment, Broker, and Enrollment Company capabilities and processes.Key Accountabilities:
Processes, reviews, analyzes and makes informed underwriting decisions for Worksite product re-enrollments under 3,000 lives,  group product renewals, and low-complexity life insurance proposals. All cases are reviewed with manager or higher level underwriter until proficiency is achieved.Â
Reviews enrollment and participation trends and learns how to make recommendations to optimize opportunity for sales while minimizing risk. Â
May provide monthly updates on sold case successes and failures as it relates to access and participation for Guarantee Issue cases.Â
Supports actuaries to develop renewal terms for Group product cases. Prepares and distributes renewal offer terms to appropriate parties.
Continually asks questions to grow and better understand our products and procedures. Â
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree and/or 0 – 2 years of related experience OR High School Diploma or GED with 2-4 years of related experience.
The compensation range for this role is (based on the corporate location in Lake Forest, Illinois):
$28.40 - $41.03 per hourThe final salary offer will be determined based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, skill set, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for bonus.
