PJHM partners with clients and provides professional services from three offices: Lake Forest, CA, Los Angeles, CA and Oceanside, CA.


This position is available in the Lake Forest, CA office.


Role Responsibilities


The Architect / Project Manager is responsible for leading multiple K-12 projects, managing all phases of construction. Acting as primary client contact and collaborating with Managing Principal Architect. Developing project programs, scope, budgets, and schedules. Maintaining effective communication with team, clients, and consultants. This role offers a dynamic opportunity to make a significant impact on K-12 education projects.


Responsibilities:

路 Full leadership responsibility for the management of multiple K-12 type projects of varying sizes and complexities

路 Ability to develop and manage all phases from conceptual design through construction

路 Act as the primary client contact in coordination with the Managing Principal Architect

路 Develop project programs, scope, schedules and budgets

路 Manage project teams throughout the entire contracts, design, approval and construction process and serve as the daily contact for the client

路 Report regularly and directly to a managing principal architect

路 Submit drawings to DSA for a successful intake and develop thoughtful and complete responses for DSA back check and approval

路 Communicate with consultants, contractors, sub-consultants and other disciplines to resolve project details and technical issues and that comply with office standards

路 Assign work to the project team, provide instruction, guidance and mentorship to team members

路 Respond to Requests For Information (RFIs), including coordinating with consultants, clients, and construction team

路 Track and follow-up on communication to team members, clients and consultants as needed

路 General Office Duties as required as related to position


Qualifications - Skills/Experience

路 8+ years of k-12 experience through all phases of architectural projects

路 Division of the State Architect plancheck experience preferred but not required

路 Bachelor鈥檚 or Master鈥檚 Degree in Architecture preferred but not required

路 Architectural license preferred but not required

路 Proficiency in Revit, 2D CAD drawing, Bluebeam and Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook

路 Good knowledge of Bluebeam, SketchUp and relevant Adobe products preferred

路 Self-Motivated / Self-Starter

路 Ability to multitask and prioritize

路 Needs to be extremely organized

路 Detail oriented

路 Good written and oral communication skills

路 General computer proficiency with Windows operating systems

路 A minimum of 40 hours per week required

路 Compensation will be dependent on qualifications and licensure

Working conditions

This job is in an office environment, with regular site visit/travel requirements and outdoor time.


Physical Requirements
