Position Summary
The Dual Maintenance Technician supports the maintenance operations of two hotel properties by performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting equipment, completing repairs, and maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for guests and team members. This position works closely with hotel leadership to ensure both properties remain in excellent operating condition and meet brand standards.
Essential Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and routine repairs on guest rooms, public areas, and hotel equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
- Complete scheduled guest room preventative maintenance and maintain accurate records.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and guest service needs.
- Monitor daily work orders and update maintenance tracking systems (Quore or similar, if applicable).
- Inspect hotel facilities and identify repair or safety concerns.
- Coordinate repairs with outside vendors when necessary and assist in obtaining repair estimates.
- Assist with warranty claims and equipment documentation.
- Maintain maintenance inventories and recommend supply orders.
- Ensure pools and spas meet all safety and regulatory requirements, including daily testing and documentation (CPO certification preferred or ability to obtain).
- Perform regular property inspections with hotel leadership and help prioritize repair projects.
- Monitor maintenance expenses and assist with budget control.
- Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of public spaces, storage areas, parking lots, and exterior grounds.
- Assist with seasonal property maintenance, including snow removal and exterior upkeep as needed.
- Support other hotel departments with moving furniture, deliveries, and special projects.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency maintenance needs as required.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Six (6) months to one (1) year of hotel or commercial maintenance experience preferred.
- General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and basic mechanical repairs.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to safely operate maintenance tools and equipment.
- Experience performing preventative maintenance and maintaining accurate maintenance records.
- CPO (Certified Pool Operator) certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred if traveling between hotel properties.
- Weekend availability and flexibility to respond to urgent maintenance needs.
