Full-Time Housekeeper – Lake Forest, IL

A private household in Lake Forest is seeking an experienced Full-Time, Live-Out Housekeeper to join their household staff. This is an excellent opportunity for a polished, discreet, and highly organized professional who takes pride in maintaining an immaculate, beautifully presented home and providing a high level of private household service.

The family's long-standing Housekeeper will assist in training the incoming candidate, providing a smooth transition and introduction to the household's routines, preferences, and standards.

Position: Full-Time, Live-Out Housekeeper
Location: Lake Forest, IL
Start Date: ASAP
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–6:00 PM; Saturday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM. Some flexibility for Sundays, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM, is preferred.
Compensation: $30/hr. 
Travel: Approximately 2 times per year
Driving: Required; household vehicle provided for work-related driving
Parking: Provided
Responsibilities

• Perform detailed daily and deep cleaning to exceptional standards
• Maintain an immaculate, organized, and well-presented residence
• Properly care for fine furnishings, finishes, and household surfaces
• Manage household laundry, linens, and garment care
• Maintain organization throughout closets, storage areas, and living spaces
• Put away groceries and household purchases
• Drive the principal to and from appointments as needed
• Work seamlessly and collaboratively with other household staff
• Travel with the household approximately twice per year
• Let the family dog outside as needed; no significant pet care required
• Maintain complete discretion and confidentiality at all times

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an experienced career Housekeeper, preferably with a strong background in high-end private residences. They should be polished, reliable, highly organized, discreet, kind, flexible, and service-oriented.

The successful candidate will have exceptional attention to detail and a proactive, self-directed approach. They should naturally anticipate the needs of the home, take ownership of their responsibilities, and work comfortably both independently and as part of a collaborative household team.

A strong driving record, comfort around dogs, and excellent professional references are required.
