Position Summary:

The Maintenance Manager directs and coordinates activities of personnel engaged in corrective and preventive maintenance of production machines, tools, equipment and maintains buildings, grounds and utility systems.

 

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Schedules repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment to ensure continuous production operations.
  • Coordinates activities of workers by fabricating or modifying machines, tools, or equipment to manufacture new products or improve existing products.
  • Oversees preventive maintenance program.
  • Reviews production and maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify maintenance activities.
  • Maintains TS compliance with proper documentation and record keeping.
  • Inspect operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational standards.
  • Plans, develops, and implements new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs, and effect greater utilization of labor and materials.
  • Reviews new product plans and discusses equipment needs and modifications evaluates most cost-effective methods of automation.
  • Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies required for operations.
  • Directs training and indoctrination of workers to improve work performance and acquaint workers with company policies and procedures.
  • Purchases parts, equipment, and other materials needed to keep machines running while at the same time meeting budget P&L concerns.
  • Collaborate with management to resolve maintenance problems and recommend measures to improve operations and conditions of machines and equipment.
  • Supports the safety program at the facility.
  • Prepares department budget and monitors expenditure of funds in budget.
  • Knowledge of TS and ISO 14001
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications:

 

  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and minimum 3 years supervisory experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Working knowledge of control circuits, process controls, plant electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding and operation of machine tools.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee frequently is required to sit; climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
