Job Description

As a Security Officer Building Access Control  in Foothill Ranch, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic automotive location. You will help manage access points, verify credentials, monitor entry activity, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Using computer or tablet systems, you will support a welcoming, professional environment while helping to deter security-related incidents. Position Type: Full Time / Mix Shift 

Pay Rate: $20.13 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points to help control entry and exit, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate access-related records.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Observe vehicle and pedestrian traffic at entry points, direct authorized visitors and deliveries, and report unusual activity or policy violations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned automotive facility areas and the perimeter, documenting observations and reporting maintenance or access-control concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
