Shuttle/Bell Services
Located in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin’s top resort town, Destination Geneva National is a popular spot for golfers, foodies, and vacationers alike. Based at our 146-room hotel, Lodge Geneva National, the Shuttle/Bell Services staff plays a vital role in creating a welcoming and seamless experience for Destination GN guests and members. This dual-role position combines traditional bellhop duties, such as assisting guests with luggage/golf bags and providing concierge services, with responsibilities for safely transporting guests to and from designated locations using the hotel’s shuttle service.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Shuttle Driver Duties
- Operate the hotel shuttle to transport guests safely and punctually to designated locations (e.g., GN golf courses, restaurants, nearby attractions, and less frequently, the MKE or ORD airports).
- Ensure the shuttle is always clean, well-maintained, and fueled.
- Follow all traffic laws and safety guidelines while driving.
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking the shuttle and loading/unloading luggage/golf bags.
- Maintain a positive and courteous demeanor while interacting with guests during shuttle rides.
Bellhop Duties
- Greet guests upon arrival and provide a warm, friendly welcome. (Hotel doors are automated.)
- Assist guests with loading, unloading, and transporting luggage/golf bags to/from guest rooms or vehicles.
- Deliver items to guest rooms, such as amenities, packages, or room service orders.
- Provide guests with information about resort facilities, amenities, and local attractions.
- Ensure the lobby, entrance, and bell station/podium are always clean, organized, and presentable at all times. This may include salting and shoveling the hotel entrance to ensure the safety of guests and staff.
- Address guest inquiries and provide assistance promptly and professionally.
REQUIREMENTS
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous hospitality or customer service experience is an advantage.
Skills & Abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and move luggage or other heavy items (up to 60 lbs.).
- Familiarity with the local area and attractions is a plus.
- Safety-first mindset.
Licenses
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Pre-approval from company insurance is required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Work is performed both indoors (lobby, guest rooms) and outdoors (shuttle driving, assisting with luggage).
- Requires standing, walking, and driving for extended periods and may involve inclement weather (rain, snow) when working outdoors.
- May involve working evenings, weekends, and holidays.
