How you’ll contribute 

A Lead Medical Technologist who excels in this role:

  • Ensure technical competence and proficiency of testing process, procedures, equipment, and personnel in the area of clinical specialty.
  • Perform procedures in assigned sections for patients of all age groups.
  • Assume responsibility for accurate test results based on independent judgement, proper use, and maintenance of equipment. 
  • Assist manager/supervisor with correlation, validation, and troubleshooting.
  • Assist manager/supervisor with section development, document, and record.
  • Maintain adequate stock of supplies.
  • Maintain work area in a safe, aseptic, and organized manner.
  • Assist manager/supervisor with proficiency testing processes.
  • Assist director/manager/supervisor with competency assessment for all staff in section, including direct observation assessment.
  • Assist with orientation and training of personnel and students.
  • Participate and attend meetings as required and/or assigned.

What we’re looking for 
Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited program. Additional requirements include:

  • Basic life support health care provider (BLS-HCP)

  • ASCP or equivalent registry

  • Two (2) years in clinical specialty

  • One (1) year previous lead tech experience preferred

  • Five (5) years clinical specialty preferred
