The Elementary Teacher (2nd grade) is responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering high-qualityinstruction to students in a private school setting. This role supports the academic, social, and emotionaldevelopment of each student while fostering a positive and engaging classroom environment alignedwith the school’s mission and values.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

 Plan and deliver standards-based instruction in core subject areas, including English LanguageArts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and abilities Create a structured, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, resources, and technology tools Assess and monitor student progress using formal and informal assessments Maintain accurate records of grades, attendance, and student performance Implement classroom management strategies that promote positive student behavior Support students’ social, emotional, and character development Communicate regularly and professionally with parents/guardians regarding student progressand classroom updates Participate in parent-teacher conferences, faculty meetings, and school events Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff Adhere to all school policies, procedures, and expectations Participate in ongoing professional development
