When you join our team of over 45 Outpatient Clinics across Central Florida, you will be part of a winning team of experts dedicated to whole-person care to help our patients heal, strengthen and renew. We serve patients Orange, Seminole, Osceola, Polk, Volusia, Flagler and Lake Counties with a dedicated Team of therapists, clinicians and staff willing to carry on AdventHealth’s mission in the communities we serve. Â
 As a Vascular Sonographer in an outpatient setting you will provide professional direct and indirect services to specific age groups in the outpatient rehabilitation settings. Utilizes process improvement in achieving the goals of the Sports Med and Rehab Department. Accept the responsibility to practice autonomously and collaboratively in all practice environments to provide best practice to the patient/client. Autonomous practice is characterized by independent, self-determined, professional judgment and action.
The role you’ll contribute:
Responsible for performing a wide range of Sonography and Vascular Sonography procedures to provide high-quality diagnostic information for the treatment and prognosis of vascular disorders and other medical conditions. This position conducts ultrasound procedures across various patient ages, ensuring high-quality exams for interpretation by medical professionals. Additionally, this role assists physicians with interventional procedures, using ultrasound as a guidance tool. This position exercises independent judgment in performing diagnostic scans and selecting technical factors.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
Confirms patient and exam accuracy using two patient identifiers before administering exams.
Performs, documents, and reports all procedures in accordance with departmental policy.
Reviews images and completes ultrasound worksheets promptly, re-scanning patients as requested by Radiologists.
Communicates and collaborates with the multidisciplinary team, including notifying physicians of abnormal findings.
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Graduate of Ultrasound Program Required
BCLS - Basic Life Support
ARDMS - Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonography

RVT - Registered Vascular Technologist
