The Engineering Project Support Technician provides technical, administrative, and logistical support throughout the entire engineering project lifecycle. Working closely with the Senior Engineer, this position helps ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with engineering and organizational standards.
This role is ideal for an individual who enjoys hands‑on problem‑solving, continuous learning, and supporting cross‑functional engineering teams.
What Will You Do? Â
In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for: Â
Technical & Project Support:
Assist Senior Engineer with design activities, data collection, testing, troubleshooting, and implementation of project tasks.
Support installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities.
Project Coordination:
Track project timelines, deliverables, risks, and dependencies to ensure project momentum.
Maintain project plans, logs, and task lists.
Documentation Management:
Prepare, update, and organize technical documentation, drawings, reports, and engineering change requests.
Logistical Support:
Coordinate materials, tools, supplies, and other resources required for engineering activities.
Quality & Compliance:
Support inspections, audits, and compliance with engineering standards, safety practices, and internal procedures.
Cross‑Functional Communication:
Serve as a liaison between engineering, operations, procurement, manufacturing, and other departments to ensure accurate information flow.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
Compile test results, analyze data trends, and prepare summaries or presentations for engineering reviews.
What Do You Need? Â
To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements: Â
Associate’s degree or equivalent two‑year technical degree in engineering technology or a related field.
Minimum 1-3 years' experience
Technical aptitude with mechanical, electrical, or industrial systems.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to read technical drawings or willingness to learn.
Proficiency with CAD and project software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Excel, project trackers).
Strong problem‑solving skills and initiative.
Effective communication skills for collaborating with engineers and stakeholders.
- Adaptability and eagerness to learn new skills, tools, and technologies.
Preferred experience:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field
Experience with 3D printing (plastics).
Arc welding experience.
Sheet metal and weldment design.
Machining skills.
Background in agriculture or outdoor power equipment

Competitive Salary – The pay range takes into account skills, experience, education, and location. It is not common to be hired at or near the top of the range; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the annual pay range is between ​$24.82 - ​$31.02. Cash compensation is one piece of our competitive total rewards package. You may be eligible to participate in an incentive program, which rewards employees based on individual and organizational performance.
