GENERAL OBJECTIVE: Delivers food and materials to Head Start locations daily throughout Clackamas County, meeting all sanitation requirements, assigned timelines and following safety rules. Pick up material as directed. 36 hour a week position.Â
ESSENTIAL DUTIESÂ

Position Specific DutiesÂ
- Operated agency vehicles following all safety rules.Â
- Transports perishable foods and supplies in a timely manner, ensure food safety by documenting delivery temperatures.Â
- Purchases and picks up food and supplies from local retailers and wholesale vendors.Â
- Keeps interiors of delivery vehicle clean daily and exteriors as needed. Â
- Performs light maintenance and refueling on agency vehicles, carts, and equipment.Â
- Reports any needed repairs to vehicle as needed to Facilities Manager.Â
- Reports food safety concerns immediately.Â
- Check all pickups and deliveries for accuracy.Â
- Assists with receiving, stocking, inventory control, and distribution of food, kitchen supplies, and agency materials.Â
- Maintains agencies inventory and tracking system and logs status of deliveries Â
- Assists the Operations department with other tasks as needed Â
General DutiesÂ
- Reports suspected child abuse in accordance with Oregon Statute and Head Start procedures.Â
- Attends training sessions and participates in training opportunities.Â
- Following Clackamas County Children’s Commission core competencies and policies and procedures relative to positions duties. Â
- Works as a team with other staff in providing services to children and families.Â
- Maintains the confidentiality of highly sensitive information.Â
- Interacts with children, families and community members in a supportive and professional manner.Â
- Follow safety best practices for driving, loading, unloading, and lifting all loads.  Â
Additional DutiesÂ
- Performs all other duties as assigned
- Must be enrolled in the Oregon Central Background Registry prior to beginning employment and enrollment must be maintained throughout employmentÂ
- Post-offer fitness for duty evaluation must be obtained within 30 days of hire date:Â Â
- Food handler’s card must be obtained within 30 days of hireÂ
- Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse & Neglect training must be completed within 60 days of hire date Â
- Introduction to Child Health and Safety training must be completed within 30 days of hire dateÂ
QUALIFICATIONSÂ
Minimum QualificationsÂ
- Ability to carry out oral and written directions, read, and speak at a level sufficient to fulfill the duties to be performed for the position described.Â
- Current driver’s license, two years of driving experience and driving record which meets agency requirements and ability to be insured by insurance carrier.Â
- Ability to lift 50 pounds dailyÂ
- Must be able to remain on your feet for prolonged periods while performing job duties.Â
- Must be able to drive for extended periods as required to travel to multiple sites or meetings.Â
- Must be able to perform frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting associated with the position.Â

- Ability to possess and maintain current First Aid/CPR certification.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an Oregon Food Handler’s Card
DESIRED QUALIFICATONS
- Bilingual skills: oral and written fluency in English with fluency also in Spanish

Works assigned schedule and exhibits regular and predictable attendance. Â

Requirements
Education and Experience:Â
- U.S. High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent – OR – ability to complete GED within one year of hire
