The Landscape Steward Supervisor position with Mountain Park Homeowner’s Association (MPHOA) in Lake Oswego may be for you! About Us Nestled atop Mt. Sylvania, MPHOA is a 677-acre master-planned community with over 8,000 residents. Our neighborhood features 185 acres of common property, including: • A beautifully maintained clubhouse with indoor pools, basketball courts, and fitness spaces • 8 parks with diverse amenities • Nearly 9 miles of hard-surface trails • Forested areas, streams, and wildlife habitat • Native and ornamental landscape beds Position Overview The Landscape Steward Supervisor supports the Landscape Stewardship Director in leading a team responsible for maintaining and enhancing MPHOA’s natural and landscaped spaces. The right candidate will combine technical knowledge with leadership skills, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and with attention to sustainability. Key Responsibilities In this role, you will plan, assign, and oversee the work of a crew caring for parks, trails, forests, streams, and landscaped areas. You’ll establish schedules, allocate resources, verify work quality, and interpret project plans and specifications. This position also involves training and mentoring staff, assisting with recruitment, and contributing to the department budget. Additional responsibilities include overseeing equipment care and safety, managing work orders and inventory, and utilizing software tools such as GIS and irrigation management systems. The Landscape Steward Supervisor also participates in committees related to safety and common property. QualificationsQualifications • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in a related field, OR • 3+ years of relevant experience (or equivalent combination) in at least two of the following:    - Landscape design/maintenance    - Irrigation and landscape management    - Horticulture, arboriculture, or forestry    - Sustainable land care and ecosystem management • Strong supervisory and communication skills • Knowledge of environmentally responsible landscaping practices Physical Requirements This is a hands-on role requiring the ability to stand, walk, climb, kneel, or crouch frequently. Candidates must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 100 lbs. Work is performed primarily outdoors, year-round, in varying weather conditions.
