Position Overview: Receptionist
Elderwood is seeking a friendly, organized, and reliable receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to multitask effectively. As the face of our company, you will play a crucial role in creating a warm and professional environment for our clients and visitors. In addition to administrative tasks, our receptionists represent Elderwood in a friendly, helpful and positive manner. They are an integral part of daily life for residents and guests.

Reception & Administrative Support
Answers phones and greets visitors in a friendly and professional manner; ensures needs are addressed or referred to appropriate staff.
Sorts, forwards, and distributes mail, including mail for discharged residents.
Performs typing, copying, and general clerical duties.
Manages conference room reservations and maintains records for guest tickets and special events.
Distributes employee paychecks.
Utilizes electronic timekeeping systems accurately.
Receives and records monies from dietary staff for staff dining room sales.
Resident & Facility Support
Transports residents as directed by supervisors, management staff, or the Administrator.
Delivers newspapers to residents.
Treats all residents with respect and kindness while observing resident rights at all times.
Exhibits the highest level of customer service toward residents, staff, and visitors.
Professional Standards & Compliance
Maintains confidentiality and privacy of resident information at all times.
Arrives to work on time, works scheduled shifts consistently, and maintains reliable transportation.
Adheres to facility dress code and wears name badge at all times.
Follows all safety rules and practices to ensure the safety of residents, staff, and visitors.
Demonstrates knowledge of facility policies and procedures and the ability to reference them as needed.
Performs all duties in accordance with service excellence standards and organizational goals.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 16 years of age required
- HS diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience with answering multi-line phone lines.
Office experience and good typing skills required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs preferred.
- Knowledge of office machines and equipment preferred.
- This position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors. In order to ensure a safe work environment for residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors of the Company, and to permit unfettered communication between the employee and those residents, coworkers, visitors, and supervisors, this position requires that the employee be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level.
