JOBÂ SUMMARYÂ
This position repairs and maintains the assigned machinery and mechanical equipment ensuring at all times that the company safety rules are followed.Â

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Â
Â
Comply with Safety Policies and Procedures Â
Regular attendance, timeliness and scheduling flexibilityÂ
Performs preventive maintenance operations on machinery according to schedulesÂ
Installs, rebuilds and repairs a wide variety of machines as directed by the Maintenance Manager/supervisorÂ
Able to restore equipment to proper functionality based on manuals and drawingsÂ
Services and maintains a full range of building and production equipment following proceduresÂ
Analyzes, detects, and determines the nature of the problem and provides input as to the extent of the repairs required. Troubleshoots to and selects materials needed for the repairs. Find root cause of equipment failures.Â
Able to trouble shoot electrically up to 480 voltsÂ
Notifies Maintenance Manager of recurring equipment malfunctions and corrective actions takenÂ
Assembles, replaces or refits parts as warrantedÂ
Tear down and rebuild presses as needed to repair dies Â
Assists with building repairsÂ
Replace and refit partsÂ
Instructs and provides technical assistance to lower level mechanics as requiredÂ
Follow and enforce company safety policies and procedures among the maintenance mechanics at all times.Â

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIESÂ Â

Industrial mechanical skillsÂ
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenanceÂ
instructions, equipment manuals, and company manuals and procedures.Â
Use hand and power tools, welding equipment, drill press, and other related industrial repair equipmentÂ
Demonstrate manual dexterity and mechanical aptitudeÂ
Good communication skills and ability to read, speak, write English (bilingual Spanish helpful)Â
Ability to observe, identify, deduce and troubleshoot equipment malfunctionsÂ
Quick learner and ability to work under minimal supervisionÂ
Math skills and computer skillsÂ
Industrial electrical skills preferredÂ

EDUCATIONÂ AND/OR EXPERIENCEÂ

Associates Degree and/or post-high school technical training highly desired, or equivalent experienceÂ
5Â + years of related experience required - in a manufacturing environment preferredÂ
5 + years tearing down and rebuilding preferredÂ
5Â +Â years exp with tooling and diesÂ
