Method Development Chemist - Lake Zurich, ILĀ 

Ā 

• Analytical method development and validation of chemical compoundsĀ 

• Provide guidance to routine analysts on troubleshooting andĀ methodologyĀ questionsĀ 

• Routine analysis in any analytical departmentĀ 

• Data review and interpretation with noĀ assistanceĀ 

• Writing and reviewing SOPs and STPsĀ 

• Data EntryĀ 

• Instrument/analytical problem solving and process improvementĀ 

• QA investigations with noĀ assistanceĀ 

• Working independently and giving insight on problem solvingĀ 

• Set up new instrumentation and procedures for specialized or non-routine analysisĀ 

• Oversee operation of all equipment, supplyĀ levelĀ and repair of instrumentationĀ 

• Keeps abreast of current and new methodsĀ 

• Statistical analyses on quality control samples to assure complianceĀ 

• Quality and quantity of workĀ meetsĀ laboratory benchmarksĀ 

• Follows safety requirements including theĀ appropriate useĀ of safety glasses, gloves, and lab coatsĀ 

• IDC sample requirements are metĀ 

• Company procedures and policies adhered toĀ 

• On-going participation in laboratory skills inventoryĀ 

• Turnaround times achievedĀ 

Ā 

BA/BS in chemistry or related science field with 3-5 years of experience preferably in HPLC and Method Development.Ā Ā Advanced degree preferredĀ but notĀ required.Ā Ā 

Ā 

Strong analytical skills, ability to interact with all staff, time management with good organization, strong verbal and written skills, ability to work independently and in a team environment, capable of making sound decisions quickly and effectively, ability to handle multiple projects, and knowledge of Microsoft Office.Ā
