Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate manual and/or CNC machining equipment such as lathes, mills, grinders, and drill presses
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
- Measure and inspect parts using precision tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges) to ensure quality standards
- Adjust machine settings to maintain product specifications and efficiency
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Document production activities and report issues to leadership
- Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and quality personnel to meet production goals
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years of machinist experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
- Experience with measurement tools and quality inspection processes
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
Preferred:
- Technical certification in machining or related field
- CNC programming or setup experience
