Purpose Statement
The CIP Operator will be responsible for sanitizing the production areas & utensils using chemicals and equipment per FDA guidelines.
Key Accountabilities and Outcomes
- Disassembles and sets up all production equipmentÂ
- Cleans all equipment using COP and CIP systemsÂ
- Verifies the proper cleaning and set-up of all equipmentÂ
- Puts away production and sanitation materialsÂ
- Drives material handling equipmentÂ
- Monitors/tests chemical concentration of all CIP systemsÂ
- Maintains CIP SCADA database with real-time process dataÂ
- Uses and completes data uploads, SSOP task completions, EMP tasks and other digital applications via a handheld table type device or a computer terminalÂ
- Documents necessary information on charts and CIP logsÂ
- Takes inventory of sanitation suppliesÂ
- Partners with Quality’s use of bioluminescence technology to verify CIP systems.Â
- Responsible for performing tasks according to the plant Master Sanitation Schedule in Kleanz and Internal GMP auditsÂ
- Responsible for basic troubleshooting of all Sanitation equipmentÂ
- Responsible for safe handling of all Sanitation tools, chemicals and processesÂ
- Trains new Associates on required skill sets for Environmental OperationsÂ
- Maintains work area in a safe and orderly fashion according to GMP and Safety guidelinesÂ
- Operates Rich’s SCADA system and completes appropriate paperworkÂ
- Performs any other related miscellaneous duties assigned by Lead personÂ
- Required to accurately and fully communicate and document tasks, corrective actions, status updates and other vital information to appropriate Leaders and co-AssociatesÂ
- Will be required to train in other areas of the plant as required by the Skillblock program, which may include: Valve and Pump PM program. Â
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required plus 1+ years of relevant (chemical handling and machine operation) experience preferredÂ
- Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal Â
- Must have the ability to train other Associates in Sanitation/Environmental operationsÂ
- Must have the desire and ability to operate as a member of a Self-Directed work teamÂ
- Must become proficient on Rich’s SCADA systemÂ
- Has an awareness of and the ability to follow Associate Safety guidelines Â
- Has an awareness of and the ability to follow GMP and Food Safety guidelinesÂ
- Understands proper machine operating and adjusting proceduresÂ
- Must have the ability to work in and contribute to Production Improvement, Associate Involvement and Temporary Teams, as assignedÂ
