This role involves instruction, facilitation of student learning, contributing to the academic mission of the college, and fostering student success through innovation and data-driven leadership. The faculty member will help students develop the technical knowledge and values required to become competent and capable of navigating a complex, technology-saturated workplace. Further, this faculty member will lead the way in providing relevant, forward-facing education that prepares students for the evolving demands of a digital-first marketplace. As a key architect of our student experience, this faculty member will bridge the gap between academic theory and the AI-augmented, data-driven global marketplace, ensuring our graduates are not just employees, but leaders of the digital transformation. Salary and Rank: Commensurate with experience. Starting Date: The appointment carries a full-time, one year contract from August 1, 2026 through July 31, 2027. ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS Reports to: Dean, Jannetides College of Business, Communication & Leadership Supervisory Responsibility: Non ESSENTIAL DUTIES - May include, but is not limited to the following: Teach a variety of courses, primarily management in different modalities which might include in-person, online or in a hybrid format. Develop and deliver engaging curriculum that meets program and accreditation standards. Incorporate innovative teaching strategies, such as AI literacy and applied data projects, to enhance student readiness for a data-centric marketplace. Maintain regularly scheduled office hours. Support student success through advising, mentorship, and timely feedback. Participate in departmental and college-wide initiatives, including committee work, program development and other projects as assigned. ADDITIONAL/NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES All remaining duties are considered "nonessential" within the context of the ADA, which means that the function could be reassigned to another employee in order to allow a disabled individual to hold the position. LOCATION On Campus Qualifications EDUCATION Required Education: Master’s Degree in Management or a closely related field. Willingness to earn a doctoral degree (if not already earned). Preferred Education: An earned Doctorate (Ph.D. or DBA) from a regionally accredited institution. The ability to teach in multiple disciplines. LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS None EXPERIENCE (Teaching or Industry) Required: Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a management position. Experience teaching in a higher education environment. Preferred: Proven experience teaching in a higher education environment with a focus on multimodal delivery. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Required: Excellent oral and written communication skills. Knowledge English Language - Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar. Academic Processes - Knowledge of university guidelines, course descriptions, and academic terminology. Clerical - Knowledge of office administrative procedures including word processing, managing files and records, typing, and other office procedures. Computer - Knowledge of basic computer processes including word processing, web browsing, Google enterprise software (Google docs, Google sheets, etc.), and Microsoft Office including Basic Microsoft Excel. Skills Critical Thinking - Uses logic and reasoning to look at different types of information in order to make conclusions and work through problems. Reading Comprehension - Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents. Research - Locates key facts and information in order to learn more about different types of information. Interpersonal Skills - Communicates and interacts with people effectively while being aware of social perceptions. Time Management - Manages one’s own time to accomplish assigned tasks. Attention to Detail - Thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing a task ensuring all aspects are reviewed. Abilities Written Comprehension - The ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing. Written Expression - The ability to communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understand. Oral Comprehension - The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. Oral Expression - The ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand. Selective Attention (Vigilance) - The ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time without being distracted. Mathematics - Knowledge of basic mathematics. Mobility: Capability to move around the office and campus as needed for meetings and events. Visual Requirements: Ability to read and interpret data on computer screens and printed documents. Hearing and Speaking: Adequate hearing to participate in conversations and phone calls, and clear speaking ability for effective communication. Travel: None Schedule: Monday - Friday, as assigned course schedule 10-month faculty position TRAINING All new hires and employees transferring into a new position will have a 90-day probationary period within which to learn the functions of the job and to be evaluated. Following the probationary period, the employee can transition to regular status, have the probationary period extended in order to receive more training, or employment can be terminated.
