Maintenance Superintendent

Where will you work: New Wales, FL (3095 Highway 640 Mulberry, FL 33860).

Typical schedule follows a 9/80 format with early start times, including a 6:00 a.m. daily operations meeting.

The Maintenance Superintendent leads maintenance and reliability activities for an industrial operation, supporting rotating and electrical assets while improving equipment reliability and operational performance. This role focuses on people leadership, field presence, and problem‑solving in a fast‑paced environment, with opportunities to drive long‑term reliability improvements and team development. This role includes on‑call remote support for nights and weekends, primarily remote, with occasional on‑site response when critical issues arise.

What you’ll do?

  • Oversight of the site by monitoring/directing the field and plant operations to execute the shift run plan. 

  • Coordinate with site teams to optimize run plan and tons per hour to plant, as well as capitalize on any downtime opportunities. 

  • Adapting and making sound decisions when the run plan needs to be modified and communicating changes.

  • Manage, coach, and oversee the leads and shift supervisors and partner with workflow, and ensure their responsibilities are carried out (safety and environmental compliance, operational updates, asset utilization, various systems Operating Hours, Intelex and SAP entries, Call Outs, managing the hourly workforce).

  • Coordinate with the site to troubleshoot issues when they arise.

  • Manage and provide direction for shift maintenance/operational activities (nights and weekends) as well as deploying equipment resources as needed.

  • Facilitate daily, weekly, and monthly operations meetings.

  • Hands‑on experience with industrial rotating equipment such as pumps, gearboxes, piping systems, tanks, and related mechanical assets.

What you’ll need:

  • High School/GED

  • Demonstrated efficiency using Microsoft Office Suite

  • 8+ years in industrial or related maintenance environment

  • 3+ years in plant maintenance leadership or supervisory roles

  • Experience using SAP or similar CMMS/EAM systems to manage maintenance activities, reporting, and work execution.

Bonus points if you have the following:

  • Bachelor’s in engineering, mechanical engineering, technology or related field

  • Experience in mining, chemical manufacturing, cement, aggregates, or other heavy industrial environments strongly preferred

  • Professional maintenance or reliability certifications (e.g., CMRP, SMRP)

  • Demonstrated success leading frontline supervisors or maintenance teams

  • Experience driving defect elimination and reliability improvements
