JOB DESCRIPTION







Job Title:CT/X-Ray Technologist

Reports To:Office Supervisor




Type of Shift:Full Time











**Shift Hours will be Thursdays/Fridays 12 hour shifts, and Saturdays/Sundays 8 hour shifts**







JOB SUMMARY







 The CT/X-Ray Technologist performs a variety of radiologic procedures in an outpatient setting while maintaining
a high level of customer service and quality patient care. The responsibilities of the CT/X-Ray Technologist include 
performing routine X-ray and CT procedures following the protocols established by the radiologist and demonstrating 
compassion to ensure overall patient satisfaction.











JOB RESPONSIBILITIES







1. Performs CT and X-Ray procedures following the protocols established by the radiologist. Competently performs 
procedures with limited supervision.











2. Performs reconstruction process on CTA exams on a separate workstation as necessary.







3. Properly inputs all required patient information into the system including protocol, patient history, referring 
providers, and any additional information to the radiologist regarding the procedure. Able to burn CDs per patient request.







4. Logs all injections with the amount, date, time, route, and response to injection. Reviews lab results for patients
including BUN and creatnine and calculates GFR as needed. Discusses BUN, creatnine, and GFR abnormalities with
the radiologist to determine if contrast is indicated.











5. Properly identifies patients and demonstrates compassion while maintaining patient confidentiality. Assumes 
responsibility for patient care, safety, and comfort.











6. Takes responsibility to stock exam rooms with necessary supplies. Maintains equipment and reports any equipment
malfunctions to the supervisor or appropriate service provider.










7. Assists in other modalities as assigned.











8. Customer Service; Communicates effectively with staff and supervisors in a polite and courteous manner. Promotes
teamwork by assisting other staff as needed. Words and actions support team improvement.







9. Maintains credentials for position.


















WORK EXPERIENCE/EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS







  2 or more years in the Radiology field is preferred.











  High School Diploma or GED.











  Completion of a course in Radiologic Technology which is approved by the American Registry of Radiologic
Technologists.












  Current certification (ARRT) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and licensed by the Florida
Department of Health.  Advance certification in CT is preferred.










SKILLS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS







  Skills in properly positioning patients and obtaining diagnostic images, identifying equipment problems, 
establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and public.







  This job requires prolonged sitting or standing, frequent bending, stooping, or stretching; Must be able to see with or 
without corrective eyewear, must be able to hear clearly, with or without assistance. This position may require lifting 
50 plus pounds.
