Xylem is looking for a Diesel Service Center Technician to report to our Lakeland, FL location to service and maintain our Commercial/Industrial Pumps. 

What your day will look like as a Diesel Service Center Technician

The Diesel Service Center Technician will be responsible for the on-site troubleshooting, repair, and tracking of our commercial/industrial pumps and their corresponding mechanical and electrical components. Equipment specific training will be provided. Willing to train the right person, but previous experience working in a commercial or industrial mechanical environment is especially encouraged.

This position operates on a standard day shift Monday-Friday.

The Diesel Service Center Technician will be responsible for providing their own tools.

Position Requirements for Diesel Service Center Technicians

  • HS diploma or equivalent

  • 1-3 years diesel mechanic experience preferred

  • Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues 

  • Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools and lifting equipment

  • Mechanical aptitude with an understanding of methods, materials, tools and techniques used in equipment repair and maintenance

  • Ability to work independently with little or no supervision; self-motivated and self-directed

  • Ability to pass a background check, MVR check, and drug screen

  • A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
