Maintenance Supervisor – Mogadore, OH      Â
This position will be responsible for coordinating and directing employees in the safe and efficient production of quality product in a cost-effective manner that meets customer expectations. You will be responsible for facilitating production and maintenance activities on shift to ensure that optimum performance levels are achieved in the areas of productivity, quality, housekeeping, and safety in accordance with management guidelines while creating and developing a team environment.Â
This is in a chemical plant with continuous operations. We are seeking a proven maintenance professional with experience in gas or fluid manufacturing with 3-5 years’ experience in a supervisor role.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Â

- Provide leadership and direction to production and maintenance personnel. Develop teamÂ
goals and objectives. - Know and follow all policies and procedures and hold team accountable to them.Â
Act as main safety contact for shift addressing issues immediately as they arise to keepÂ
team safe. - Manage daily production schedule, optimize productivity, address daily bottlenecks, andÂ
rectify daily quality and processing problems. - Use Lean Six Sigma methods and tools to manage the business and improve performance.Â
Review production data in SAP system and make necessary changes. - Assure accurate productivity. Collect/record quality check data on every shift.Â
- Establish key measures and realistic objectives for the Team. Hold regular safety and team meetings. Train employees using the Jobs skills training and verification process to assure proper and consistent training of the workforce.Â
- Communicate critical information to shift personnel. Coordinate shift maintenance duties.Â
Coach, council, motivate and discipline employees as necessary. - Ensure product meets all quality standardsÂ
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:Â SKILLS, ABILITIES & KNOWLEDGE: REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSÂ
- 5 years of Chemical Plant ExperienceÂ
- Demonstrated experience around key Working Relationships and Accountabilities with:Â
Production, Maintenance, Engineering Departments and Supervision of vendors and outsideÂ
contracts.Â
- Familiar with PSM Process Safety Management
• High School Diploma/GED in Business, Supply Chain or related field and at least three years of experience in a maintenance manufacturing environment.
• Exceptional demonstrated leadership skills requiredÂ
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsÂ
• Works well independently and in team environmentÂ
• Ability to motivate and coach employeesÂ
