Our work changes lives every day, and our employees make that possible. Mental Health Rehabilitation Specialists assist in providing self-care, behavior training and leading rehabilitative groups for clients as required by each individual client plan; one-on-one behavioral support by performing the following duties. QualificationsEssential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Facilitate group and individual rehabilitative activities that align with each client's individualized treatment plan and therapeutic goals. Ensure all services provided are in full compliance with State and County Mental Health regulations and guidelines. Deliver only authorized services unless explicitly directed by the Clinical Director to provide otherwise. Engage clients in meaningful conversation to reinforce positive behaviors and encourage social interaction. Participate in mealtime with clients as a behavioral and rehabilitative role model, in accordance with applicable care plans. Accompany clients on shopping trips and provide guidance on making appropriate personal purchases aligned with their rehabilitative or behavioral goals. Lead structured therapeutic and recreational activities, including physical exercise, arts and crafts, and games, to support client development and well-being. Assess client behavior and risk factors to ensure safety and prevent harm to clients or others. Observe and accurately document client behavior and progress to support clinical assessment and treatment planning. Complete client documentation using the DAP (Data, Assessment, Plan) format in both Progress Notes and Daily Service Logs. Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and all confidentiality standards as outlined in ongoing training. Respond to feedback by correcting documentation errors within 24 hours of notification. Complete all clinical documentation and reports in accordance with agency policy; perform self-audits before submitting to billing or Performance Quality Improvement (PQI) personnel. Monitor Microsoft Outlook 365 daily and respond to agency communications within 24 hours. Perform other duties as assigned in support of client care and program goals.   Education and/or Experience                                                   Associate's degree (A. A.) with six years related experience and in direct therapeutic service. Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) with 4-year college; with four years related experience/or training in a direct therapeutic service; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master’s degree (M.A.); with 2 years related experience/or training in a direct therapeutic service; or equivalent combination of education and experience.   Why Join RCS?
